Default Returning to GW after release.

I played Guildwars on release and finished it with a lvl 20 character. Never picked it up again for the other expansions. I logged in and I'm updating now.

My question are:

1. What are the major changes?

2. What is "Heroes" in Nightfall?

3. My character was naked when I selected him to update, does this mean all my items are gone?

4. Are "respecs" available I remember investing into swords when I wanted to switch to hammers?

1) Too many to list, seriously. 2 whole new games, and an expansion pack plus GW : Beyond content and all the updates.

2) Heroes are customizable henchman (weapon, runes, skills)

3) Did you give a friend your password or was your password was easily guessed, because someone has stripped your account and if it was a hacker you usually wouldn't be able to log in....

4) You can respec in any outpost, literally just hit "k" and you can shift attribute points around.

From jail?

1. As above, too many to list here. I suggest you surf the wikis
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Main_Page
http://www.guildwiki.org/main_page

2. Heroes are like henchmen, except you get to upgrade their armor, weapons, skills, etc. Basically, you outfit them just like you would a human player.
There are also "Mercenary" heroes which you base on your own characters.

3. Probably. Someone may have hacked your account, so first thing to do is to change your password and contact e-mail address. (Changing your contact e-mail will not change your account name.)

4. "Re-spec'ing" in GW is easy and can be done anytime (at no cost), either manually, or by using saved Templates.

You character being naked might mean you've been hacked, though I remember an update bout 2,5 years ago where the first time after loading your character showed naked in the loading screen.

You might remember playing with henchman (robots you selected in your team instead of real players). Well Hero's are the same thing though bound to you and customizable (you can give them weapons, armor upgrades and skills).

The game has changed a lot. best way is to experience it yourself, but be ready to going through a learning proces again. If you got the other campagins and expansions, you might want to create a new character there to enjoy the tutorial part (when you go to like factions from prophecy's you miss the tutorial part). Beside fun and nice, it is a great way to learn to play the game again. After reaching the port city you can always decide to bring your max lvl prophecy's character over.

It happen to me before after a long update of the game. It's just a glitch, I still have my armor once I entered the game (outpost).

If you are still naked in the outpost and have no armor in your inventory, well there might be a problem. You may want to change your password.
